Below are the sketches of different view points of 4 stairs. The sketches were designed in order to fit the work-space. Stair 1 and 2 were designed for the upper work-space, Stair 3 and 4 was designed for the lower work-space.

Reflecting on the designs that Khyzyl Saleem did, one of the words that I chose associated with the design is "luxury" which inspired the stair. The juxtaposition of the overhang stair between the soft arc and the sharp triangles at an angular point provide a sense of luxury. Sharp triangles were use to connect my stairs to the overhang line as it relates to the overall design approach of the building which will then produce a cohesive design. Since the upper work-space contains cars which need to be transported between the showroom and the studio, a ramp is built for ease of access. It is designed alongside the stairs to present a good sense of positive and negative space. This is then enhanced by the choice of materials used - concrete, glass and metal plates (for the ramp). I decided to use a glass top for the stair as it has a futuristic feel as individuals while walking are able to look through it.
